Moz Tachyon

A Two day Workshop was organized by Firefox Club,JUET Guna  at Jaypee University of Engineering and Technology,Guna on 16th May and 17th May 2015 in collaboration with 'Tachyon' Technical fest of JUET,which focussed on FxOS App Development.This 8 hour workshop taught the interested participants about how to develop Firefox OS App with the help of HTML5,CSS3 and JavaScript.
Our delegate from Mozilla India Mr. Kumar Rishav who did intern at Google Summer of Code, 2014  and presently working as Marketplace Users’ Review Moderator at Mozilla delivered the workshop. Our another delegate was an software engineer from Bhopal, Mr Vaibhav Bajaj and a Mozilla rep from bhopal .

 Developing your own Mozilla Firefox OS App in the very first & second year of Engineering gives you that  ( # being_a_CS_engineer ) feel and to keep that emotion alive we had exciting Mozilla goodies for the participants who perform exceptionally well.
The last hour was the icing on the cake. Participants were asked to enroot an app of their own and the best three apps were afloated on the Mozilla Firefox Marketplace for free and their developers were awarded with attractive Mozilla Tees.

 The students showed much interest and enthusiasm during both days of the workshop. During the workshop Hand-on sessions on FxOS App Development were held which made the participants more willing towards learning. At the end of the second day of workshop, the three participants were awarded with attractive Mozilla Tees who made worth apps . The other students who had even made some sort of apps were motivated by presenting them with Mozilla Goodies. Participants also left their positive feedback about the workshop. Students are much involved towards making the app for APP OF THE MONTH CONTEST for may-july session .
This workshop was organised by Priyam and Aditya who are the webmaker mentors from JUET .

After the workshop ended with full bloom, the delegates along with the full team of Mozilla Firefox Club, JUET , Guna were taken for the lunch where the interaction with the delegates made the day more effective, vivid and vibrant.
